Specialized Portraiture

Photography forces us to see the world in a new way - shapes, contrasts, the interplay of light, shadow and color, textures, composition - all enrich the experience of moving through the world as we consciously and intentionally focus our vision.

As my work progresses, I find I am drawn more to the documentation of people, life, culture and human connection.  It is a fascinating world we co-habit.

Jeanne Vander Ploeg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in 1978 and a Masters in Business Administration from Northwestern University in 1981.  Whether pursuing her short career in commercial construction lending or while she was raising her three daughters, Jeanne has always been an avid photographer.

Her varied experiences have contributed to her evolving and fresh vision.
